Deep ultraviolet UV-C LED is a product with a short emission wavelength of 200~280 nanometers (nm), also known as deep ultraviolet (Deep UV). It can build a sterilization device with a higher light output, the stronger the sterilization power, but due to problems such as heat generation, it is difficult to ensure stable quality. Japanese companies that have been leading the market are also planning to launch 100mW UV-C LEDs in 2020.
UV agent's application of the epitaxial structure and vertical chip technology that maximize the light output breaks the technical limitations. Increase the UV output, effectively emit heat, and ensure the feasibility of stable quality. One LED of 100mW can radiate powerful sterilizing ultraviolet rays for more than 10,000 hours.
With the development of a 100mW light output product, the UV agent product can expand the application field of UV-C LED more quickly. It can quickly sterilize flowing water or air. It can be used not only in household appliances such as water purifiers and air purifiers, but also in air-conditioning systems and water treatment devices in buildings and automobiles.
Most of the original UV-C LED has a light output of 1~2mW, which is mainly used in portable sterilizers or small home appliances. This is because the UV-C output is weak and it is difficult to expand the application.
UV agent chip has been discussing various products developed with UV-C LEDs with many global companies throughout the year. The market has always been eager to launch high-output LEDs. Therefore, the demand for 100mW UV-C LEDs is expected to grow rapidly. UV has previously introduced innovative products such as LED modules for water purifier faucet sterilization and UV LED sterilizers for elevator handrails in Japan. In February of this year, UV announced the development of UV-C LEDs for sterilization, with a wavelength of 280nm and an LED optical power of 70mW.
