In order to get rid of the predicament of UVLED packaging technology and avoid technical infringement, the author's company has launched a full series of UVLEDs with all inorganic packaging. This product uses CMH technology as the platform (C=ceramic, M=metal, H=hardglass/quartz), and its package band can cover from 200nm to 400nm, suitable for large and small power UVLED packages. Avoid the use of organic materials, so the performance degradation caused by ultraviolet rays is small, and compared with the use of resin materials for packaging, the life of the components is prolonged. With the help of the CMH technology platform, UVCLED components can also be packaged with protective gas or vacuum.
1. Optical performance of CMH products
Through optical simulation, the light output efficiency can reach more than 90% under the condition of no reflection reduction and antireflection treatment on the glass lens. In the actual test process, it was found that the light output efficiency of the CMH technology package in the wavelength band above 350nm reached about 95%.
2. CMH product reliability
Through the thermal resistance test of the product, the thermal resistance of the CMH package is controlled below 5.7°C/W. The actual packaged product is 395nm band, the forward current is 700mA, Ts=75℃, RH<50% under the conditions of aging test for 1008 hours, the result shows that the radiation attenuation is <1.6% in 1008 hours. It can be said that CMH technology can achieve good reliability.
