        For plants, the use of LED plant lights to fill light must be used when there is insufficient light. In addition to tissue culture and household use, LED plant lights with secondary optics are often used in other situations.

 

        On the one hand, it is to control the uniformity of LED plant lighting. Before the lamp itself has undergone special treatment, the light intensity of the vertical surface of the lamp beads will be greater than that of the side. If the light is not adjusted, the illuminated plants will experience uneven light and growth. It is impossible to achieve the desired effect in the state.

 

        On the other hand, the light-emitting angle is controlled. The photosynthesis of plants must exceed the light compensation point and reach the light saturation point. Most plants illuminated by LED plant lights require strong light. If no secondary optical treatment is performed, the light intensity may be insufficient.

 

        For the lamp itself, it is also a problem of the light-emitting angle. Generally, the light-emitting angle of the LED plant lamp chip is 120 degrees, and the angle of 60 degrees perpendicular to the lamp beads is not very strong, but it cannot be used by plants, which completely creates resources. waste.

 

        As one of the secondary optical components, the role of the reflector is to adjust the light-emitting angle of the LED plant light chip, correct the uniformity of the light within the effective light range, and maximize the growth of plants.

 

        The reflector cup has a conical shape, the top of the cone is removed, and the inside is hollow, which looks like a cup, hence the name reflector cup.

 

        LED reflector design materials currently mainly include plastic, metal, and glass. Its characteristics are:

 

        Plastic LED plant light reflector: low cost, poor temperature resistance, light weight, weak deformation and impact resistance, suitable for light sources with heat not exceeding 90 degrees Celsius;

 

        Metal LED plant light reflector: moderate cost, average temperature resistance, moderate weight, strong deformation and impact resistance;

 

        Glass LED plant light reflector: high cost, high temperature resistance, high quality, weak impact resistance, strong deformation resistance, suitable for high-power light sources with high heat;

 

        The principle of the reflector is to change the direction of illumination through the phenomenon of light refraction to achieve condensing. The most common ones in life are reflectors, car lights, spotlights, etc. in a flashlight.
