The relationship between the illumination intensity of the LED plant light and the growth of the plant

The relationship between the illumination intensity of the LED plant light and the growth of the plant

Illumination is a parameter that defines light in physics. LED plant lights are one of the artificial light sources. Of course, the illuminance will also be used as a standard to measure the quality of plant growth lights. Will the different illuminance of plant lights affect plant photosynthesis and germination and growth? , Flowering, fruiting and other growth processes? First, let's take a look at the specific meaning of illuminance.

Illumination: Refers to the luminous flux of the unit area locked to receive visible light, which is the intensity of light and the built-up illuminance, which is used to indicate the intensity of light and the degree to which the surface of the object is illuminated. The unit of illuminance is Lux (Lux/Lx).

From the definition of illuminance, it can be seen that the value of illuminance is directly related to luminous flux, that is to say, the illuminance changes proportionally with the change of luminous flux. The relationship between luminous flux and plant growth was introduced earlier, and the same is true for the illuminance of LED plant lights and plant growth. The relationship can also refer to the relationship between luminous flux and plants.

It should be added here that although luminous flux and illuminance are not used as the main parameters to measure LED plant lights separately, if the lamp beads are fixed (take the red lamp beads as an example), they will instantly become an influence on plant growth. The main parameters.

Plant growth requires photosynthesis. In addition to the plant itself and the surrounding environment, the main factors affecting photosynthesis are light quality, light intensity, and light time. The red light bead of LED plant light has been used here to determine the light quality and light. Time can be freely arranged according to plant needs. The curve of light intensity has been introduced in detail by senior high school biology, and the accumulation speed of plant dry matter within a certain range is directly proportional to the light intensity.

The relationship between light intensity and illuminance is: (distance refers to the straight-line distance between the light source and the light intensity test point)

Light intensity = illuminance X distance 2

Therefore, we believe that under the same distance and normal environmental conditions for plant growth, the photosynthesis rate of plant growth within a certain range will increase with the increase of illuminance.

In this way, is it possible that the higher the illuminance, the better the plants can grow? Obviously not. The cultivation of plants should be based on the needs of the plants to provide reasonable light. For example, the green dill, it does not need too much light to survive well, and giving it too much light is pure waste. Another example is a cactus. Stronger light can meet its needs.

Therefore, no parameters of plant supplement light are fixed, and the illuminance is also the same. It must be based on the needs of a certain plant growth habit, matched with different growth conditions, and needs to be adjusted accordingly at different periods of plant growth. The plant reaches its optimal growth state.
