The research and development of agricultural semiconductor lighting technology in China started early, with 20 years of research time. Research institutions represented by the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanjing Agricultural University, and the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences A large number of useful research results have been obtained in the fields of tissue culture, seedling cultivation, greenhouse light supplementation, livestock and poultry breeding, LED light quality biology, LED light source device creation, semiconductor lighting control system, etc., and nearly 100 items with independent intellectual property rights have been obtained. Patent, launched a variety of series of lighting products such as light strips, tube lights, panel lights, downlights, inter-row fill lights, bulb lights, etc. Some of the results have reached the international advanced level, which is the research and development of China’s agricultural semiconductor lighting technology. The scientific basis of production development cannot be determined.
However, due to the lack of R&D funds and fewer participating units, my country’s research on the basis and application of agricultural photobiology is not systematic and in-depth; in addition, due to the low enthusiasm of enterprises, the relevant people’s financial and material investment is very small. The productization of agricultural LED light source devices is extremely lacking, and the research results mostly stay at the stage of experimental sample verification and field trials. It will take time to promote and apply, and more scientific research investment and R&D capital investment are needed to promote the development of agricultural semiconductor lighting products.
